“Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.” – James Bryant Conant

Positive Quote: “Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.” – James Bryant Conant

This quote brings a smile to my face. I can’t ever remember seeing a turtle moving with its head in its shell. Can you?

For the movement to occur the turtle has to 1) see where it is going and 2) be able to look around and gauge if it is going in the right direction and 3) be able to see to know when to change paths or stop moving…..

I think this is like people; if your eyes are closed or your head is down and not looking, you can’t move forward, you are either at a standstill or getting left behind.

I’ll never look at a turtle the same way again.

What do you think of this quote?

Have a phenomenal Friday.
