“If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it.” – Jonathan Winters

Positive Quote: “If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it.” – Jonathan Winters

Have you ever wondered if you were doing everything you could to be successful? I do, I ask myself if I am becoming too comfortable or not reaching out to enough people.

I learned early in life that waiting for someone one or something to knock on your door or to hand something to you was a rarity. That yes, people can bring things to your attention, or show you the path, or many other things, but they cannot do it for you. You have to reach out, embrace, or chase that which is important to you. It has to become a priority for yourself before it will be viewed as your priority by others.

I like this quote in that it reminds me that we all must take action in our lives. Living is not a passive thing.

What do you think of this quote?

Have a marvelous Monday and here is to taking action in our own lives.
