“Do not think that what your thoughts dwell upon is of no matter. Your thoughts are making you.” – Bishop Steere

Positive Quote: “Do not think that what your thoughts dwell upon is of no matter. Your thoughts are making you.” – Bishop Steere

This quote reminds me of the saying “You are what you eat” and in this case “You are what you think”. If I think I am a klutz, I will focus on it and be hyper aware of small trips or bumps. Yet, I may not be a klutz at all. There are so many examples out there. However, this reinforces to me that each thought matters.

I want to strive to have my thoughts reflects not only my actions, but to reflect who I envision myself to be and become. For example, the next conference call I am on, I will refrain from multi-tasking. I will focus on the conversation and nuances. I will speak up, I will voice my opinions. I will be engaged in the conversation. To do the opposite could and possibly would lead me down the path of disliking conference calls and not seeing their inherent value.

“Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – St. Francis of Assisi

Positive Quote: “Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” – St. Francis of Assisi

This quote reminds me that most things in life are accomplished by small steps not big jumps. If you have a specific goal in mind and break it into smaller chunks it can be accomplished. It is sorta like life is like project management. I came across this article the other day…

and it shows 101 ways that you can use project management in your everyday life.

It all boils down to, knowing that if you start with the end in mind, and do what you know needs to be done, you are able to do more and more. Focus on prioritization and start doing.
