Positive Quote: “It’s not what you’ve got; it’s what you use that makes a difference.” – Zig Ziglar
Many years ago, I used to love watching the TV show MacGuyver. The storylines were pretty much the same, yet I was captivated by how he could make something out of things he had on hand (never mind why he had them on hand).
Some of his ‘inventions’:
- A defibrillator : using a rubber mat, a microphone cord, and candlesticks
- Hang glider: a fallen satellite, its parachute, and some duct tape
- Heat seeking gun decoy: batteries, rubber band, a serving cart, electric mixer, and a half a suit of armor
As you can see, he could come up with things the average person could not.
Thinking on MacGuyver, this quote reinforces for me that where there are issues and obstacles, there is something that can be used to overcome them. Using what you have either yourself or collaborating with others can make all the difference in the world.
For example, when presented with an issue, do you internalize or do you bring in others affected to help brainstorm? Do you share your knowledge and how you solved things or came to a certain conclusion with others?
What do you think of this quote?
Have a marvelous Monday.
